Principal's Message
Dr. Caroline Llewellyn

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Robert C. Fisler School! I am Dr. Caroline Llewellyn, and it is an honor to serve as the proud principal of this exceptional TK-8 learning community.
At Fisler, we do not simply prepare students for the future. We believe our students are the innovators of today. Students, families, and staff come together with a shared commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and kindness. We believe that great schools are built through strong relationships, high expectations, and a willingness to challenge students to think deeply, solve problems, and discover their unique strengths. Our goal is not only to prepare students for the next grade level, but to equip them with the knowledge, character, and confidence to lead and innovate in an ever-changing world.
As a science and technology school, Fisler offers learning that extends beyond textbooks and traditional lessons. Our classrooms are places where students ask questions, collaborate with their peers, design solutions, analyze ideas, and apply their learning in meaningful ways. From our youngest learners in TK to our 8th graders, students are encouraged to think critically, embrace challenges, and take ownership of their learning while building the skills needed for success in high school, college, and beyond.
Fisler has a long tradition of excellence. We are proud to be recognized as a California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School, an Apple Distinguished School, and a California Schools to Watch campus, a recognition that highlights exemplary middle schools committed to academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and innovation. We are also honored that U.S. News & World Report recognized Fisler as one of the Top 100 Elementary Schools and Top 100 Middle Schools in California. While these recognitions are meaningful, our greatest source of pride is watching our students grow into confident learners, thoughtful problem-solvers, and compassionate citizens.
One of the things that makes Fisler truly special is its people. Our teachers and staff set high expectations while building meaningful relationships with students. Our parents and families are active partners in their children's education, volunteering their time, supporting learning at home, and strengthening our school community. Together, students, families, and staff create a culture where everyone feels connected, valued, and supported.
Our school culture is grounded in our KSRR values: Kind, Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. These principles guide how we treat one another, approach challenges, and celebrate success. They are more than words on a banner. They are the foundation of our daily interactions and the reason Fisler feels like a community where every student belongs.
As principal, my commitment is to know our students, support our teachers, partner with our families, and continue building on Fisler's tradition of excellence. I believe that when a school community shares a common vision and works together, there is no limit to what our students can accomplish.
Whether you are a returning family or joining Fisler for the first time, welcome. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. I look forward to partnering with you as we continue to make Robert C. Fisler School a place where students are challenged to think, encouraged to lead, inspired to innovate, and supported every step of the way.
Warmly,
Dr. Caroline Llewellyn
